Mike Horning - 12/20/10 in York ME. I called in a pair of mangy coyotes with my Extreme Dimension rabbit in distress call this morning. I had been set up less than 5 minutes when they came out into the field 100 yards away on a fast pace. I let them come to 18 yards and I flattened the first one with my Bushmaster AR 15 in .223. The second one tested my shooting skills and he is still going! lol Mangy male around 25 to 30 pounds Luke Martin - Sanford, Maine - Coyote shot on the last day of Deer muzzleloader in 2010. No wonder why I didnt have a pic of a single deer for 10 days on all 3 cameras!! Shot with my T/C Encore Endeavor, .50 cal T/C Sabot and 2 50gr pellets. Shot at 60 yds, fibre optic open sights. Stainless/camo Sue Underhill - Allagash, ME, This is my first coyote. I shot it in Allagash, ME over a bait. It was shot with a .243 Encore at 230 yards. This was a 33 lb female. It was shot on a snowy morning just before Christmas 2010

The hounds did an awesome job in this deep snow. The coyote just could not put any distance between them and him. I shot him coming up along a brook and Beaner was not more than 4 feet behind the coyote. I had to wait for them to split apart a little bit to shoot.

I usually have the coyotes hit my baits hard this time of year but from what I have seen they have been catching deer, no need for bait. I only have one bait that has consistent activity with coyotes this year. The bobcats are around and seem plentiful, wish we could hunt them!

I have been wanting and talking dog hunting for years, but after hitting the wood all fall, it sometimes is little hard to go out after a long deer season. Well that was what I said to myself, "go now or just talk about predator hunting for another year", with out ever going. I put on a camo top and walked into the woods, I hunkerd down in some pines and started to rabbit squeal. After running out of breath I stopped and then movement, I stacalling rted up again and called one of the five yotes in. I downed my first coyote! All within a matter of minutes. What action. I called them back after shooting and missed another one. Now I believe! Just a note, this is not a picture of me, its my best friend and life long hunting partner. Same bait site as mine. We still have coyote slamming this bait and cant keep up. We hope to get back in around the full moon and take a few more.
