Nate Fenderson - Sanford, Maine - Northwoods Adventures TV - Maine Tom . I had been watching this monster tom he just would not work with me to close the deal . I decided to work him from another direction with two fly down cackles and a few yelps I just about didnt have enough time to get the camera equipment ready when he flew out and landed almost on top of me. The gun barked and this thunder chicken hit the dirt ! 23lbs 10.75 beard 1 inch spurs ! Torys 22 lbs 10 inch beard 1 1/4 spurs Ricks 21 lbs 9.75 beard 3/4 spurs Prostaff Rick Seavey headed to the Maine turkey woods with Nate Fenderson. Nate called and videoed Ricks hunt. Tyler Fenderson Maine youth day TOM ! 22.6 lbs 10.25 beard 1 1/16 spurs ! Tyler wanted to harvest his first Maine bird with his Hoyt bow so that morning we headed to the woods with his stick and string. The birds did their part and gave Tyler a great show and with all the excitement Tyler shot his arrow just under a big old Tom with his bow, great footage and a lesson on bow hunting. Knowing my son, he didnt give up on the Bow until the last part of the morning and then the bang stick came out ! Gobble gobble Bang ! Awesome hunt and great video ! Tory Lally age 10 on her first turkey hunt ! She made short work of this Monster tom ! Northwoods Adventures TV was just proud to have been part of her special hunt! Tyler Fenderson & Nate Fenderson... Of Northwoods Adventure TV with Tyler's NH tom!
Tyler Fenderson - Sanford, Maine After the exciting day in Maine we headed next door to New Hampshire for the last day of their youth turkey season. Well right from the start the morning was full of Gobbles and little man was very excited. Tyler tried his hand at calling in his bird and he did a good job with the birds comming Tyler needed to get ready for his shot so dad finished bring them in the rest of the way . Tyler made a great shot all on video and closed out his New Hampshire turkey season! 20.6 lbs 9 3/4 beard and 1 inch spurs ya baby ! First person he called was Steve B " mainehunters" his buddy ! Hope everyone is having a great season ! Ralph Pino - May 17th 2010 Great Friend of MaineHunters.com, hunts with Steve Beckwith, Jay Wagner & John Mondello for this nice 11:45 AM tom! Let's just say...Jay bought Dinner in 2010 and leave it at that!
Brian Morin- Springvale, Me Harvested this bird on Saturday May 15th right at the wire around 11:54 am! About 11:35am we spotted a tom with a jake and found out later that there was a hen with them as well. We had to circle the entire field in hopes of getting in front of the birds. All I can say is thank god for stone walls! We were able to sneak up to with in 20yards of this jake by crawling on our hands and knees. Dennis Theriault - MaineHunters.com Prostaff with a nice Tom - 16 lbs 12 oz 9 1/8 & 3 3/4 beard 7/8 spurs, 3 1/2 Mag. My first bird with my Mossberg 835 Roger from New Hampshire with his bird 17 1/2 lbs., 8 1/2 beard, 3/4 spur's shot on May 3, 2010
Ralph on the left with a 20lbs. 9" beard with 1" spur's. Peter on the right with a 21lbs with (2) 8" beard's 7/8" spur's both bird's were shot on May 3, 2010 in New Hampshire.
Steve Beckwith - MaineHunters.com - Pro-staff - May 21, 2010 at 7:10 AM in New Hampshire, with a nice Tom Beard 6 In, spurs 15/16 & 7/8 inch weighed in at 20lbs. This old boys chest and beard were worn right down from all his strutting. The grass was so tall, I could not see a hen just 10 feet from where this guy folded up when I shot him with the Ulti-Mag 3 1/2" at 82 yards (Range finder on this one folks!) The hen was on her nest, and this tom stayed fanned out right beside her. When I retrieved this bird the hen stayed right on her nest and let me walk right by her, when I left the field she remained on her nest! My morning started off in another location, where a hen flew down, then the Tom flew down, they did the "wild thing" right in front of me at 90-100 yards. When that was over the hen ran from the field and the Tom followed her...right off into the sunrise! For my last day hunting turkeys for 2010 spring season, I had quite a morning alone in New Hampshire's turkey woods, one I will never forget! Special thanks go out to John Howard for taking me out yesterday, John put me on the first bird that gave me the free "wild thing" show at O Dark Thirty, today! John is a super guy and an awesome turkey hunter!
Brent Lafreniere of Bolton, VT in Bradford County,PA. I left Vermont at 9:30 pm Wednesday 5/19 and arrived in Pennsylvania around 3:30 am Thursday 5/20 and harvested this bird at 6:30 am. I got this bird on some highly pressured public land so I knew I would need to call real soft and not get to aggressive, my tactic seemed to work. The bird weighed 15 pounds had a 10 1/4 inch beard and had 5/8 inch spurs. Nathan Fenderson- Sanford, Maine - Northwoods Adventure TV - Well after my son tagged out on youth day, it was Dad's turn with the bang stick in the Great State of New Hampshire to see if the farther son team could put another thunder chicken on the ground. I am glad to have a young pair of ears with me or I would have not gone in after some of the birds that were gobbling. Tyler and I worked a few birds early but they just wouldn't come in close enough for a shot. Then while checking out a spot Tyer said he heard one, so we jumped in the woods and with four calls the bird was at 8ft when he popped out in front of me! Well the tom did his part and I well.... you can you say... I didn't do mine, I shot right over the top him ! Yep.. Dad went from hero to zero! Tyler rode me for a few minutes on this one! Well 20 minutes later we had another Tom gobbling his head off, this time when he hit 30 yds. the gun barked and I was all tagged out! 18.6 lbs 8 1/2 beard 1 inch spurs . There is nothing like hunting with your kids ! Eric Morton of Corinth,VT and Brent Lafreniere of Bolton,VT traveled to Orford, NH on 5/23 where after working two different birds earlier in the morning with each of them heading the opposite direction Eric made the third bird of the day pay the price! This bird weighed 17 1/2 pounds and sported an 8 3/4 inch beard and 7/8 inch spurs.
David Thayer on the left, Jeff Budds from Florida, and Jasper Thayer . Jeff ended up shooting a nice 20 lb , 9.5 inch beard, 1 inch spurs bird at 10 AM in NH Norm Vetter from Rochester, N.H. & MH's Pro Staff David Thayer - We had a tom gobbling good down below us and then one started gobbling behind us and he was coming fast. I had Norm turn around and I said, "when you see his head shoot". That’s just what Norm did, 17 lb jake. I thought for sure by the sound of his gobble that it was a tom, Norm was happy, it was his first turkey.
Peter Scala and David Thayer MH's Pro Staff fill Pete's NH tag. 22 lb, 9.5 inch beard, .75 spur bird off the roost, Pete shot him at 20 yards. After Peter scored on his NH bird we decided to head to Maine. Pete ended up shooting a big boy at 11:50 AM in Acton, ME 24 lbs, 9 inch beard and 1.25 spurs. He was a beautiful turkey to say the least.
David Thayer - New Durham, NH - M's Pro Staff - Shot both birds in Acton, ME on May 11th. Shot the 18 lb, 8 inch beard, .75 spurs bird off the roost and then scored at 9 am with a 21 lb, 9.5 inch beard, .75 spurs bird
Nate Fenderson "Northwoods Adventures TV" Well it's been a long turkey season and it came down to the last day for me and my son Tyler. Tyler had a tough morning on the last day three big toms and two misses ! On our last set up of the Maine season two big old Maine toms were going to give us one last shot at harvesting our last two birds. every thing was going to plan the two toms were hot and coming fast they closed the distance and were at 20 yds behind some small trees. One broke hard to the left of Tyler he couldn't see to get a shot at and the other one he couldn't seem to get a good bead on. The birds hung out for about 10 minutes before they decided to exit the seen. I could still see the Tom to the left and was trying to get Tyler to get a shot. Tyler looked up at me and said Dad take him I cant move or he will run. With the pull of the trigger the season was over but what a bird 16.8 lbs 11.5 beard and 1 inch spurs. Congrat's to all that hit the turkey woods this season!
Adam Tibetts and Shane Maurice double up on a pair of 17lb jake’s opening morning of the 2010 Maine gobbler season. Shane Maurice ends his 2010 New Hampshire season in Dover on the 4th day of the season with this 21lb thunderchicken with 1 1/16 spurs and a 11 inch beard…gotta give some love to B-Mobile. Shawn Hamilton and Shane Maurice finish there 2010 Maine turkey season on the same day, Shawn shot 2 20 lb birds and Shane ended his season also with a 20lb gobbler with inch spurs and a 9 inch beard.
Remington Clare, taken in Concord, NH during the first hours of the Spring Youth Turkey Hunt, 2010. He is 10 years old and used a Remington 870 .20ga. Turkey weight 18lbs.
John Howard and Larry open day of the fall shot gun. John's bird was a hen with a 7 1/2 in beard weight was 10lbs, and Larry's weight was 12lbs both shot at 8:10 AM in New Hampshire.
8 year old Dylan Douglas shot his first turkey this fall in NH, Dylan an David Thayer belly crawled up to some old stumps on the edge of a food plot and got ready for the birds to move into range. Dylan made a great shot at 35yards on an 8lb jake with a browning 20 gauge. Way to go Dylan! Keith Henner shot his first turkey with a bow the week before shotgun season this fall. We set up in a blind and did some calling. Within minutes we had a large flock of birds 20 yards in front of the blind. Keith made a great shot with his bow and I (David Thayer) grabbed some great footage. Keith harvested a 12 lb jake.
David Thayer - New Durham, NH shot this 20 lb gobbler on Oct 13th in the afternoon scouting for deer. Three long beards where feeding along the edge of a field when I came out of the woods, I ran along a small ditch to get closer to the birds. When I snuck around the corner there they were at 50 yards. I shot the bird with my 12 gauge browning.
Steve Beckwith - Maine Hunters October 5th at 2:45 PM, shot this hen at 15 yards with a Turkey Tearror Broadhead, in Farmington. NH Thanks to our sponsor the American Broadhead Company this bird went down on the spot. This bird was shot during pouring rain, winds at 40 MPH and after a sneak through a small valley with an ambush over the top of a stone wall, the Turkey Tearror Broadhead hit it's mark!. Special note about fall turkey hunting...always carry your bow with you when driving around on rainy days, one never knows when an opportunity for a spot and stalk will present itself for you!

NH Thanks to our sponsor the American Broadhead Company this bird went down on the spot.
